Here’s to Kicking Up Your Feet

It is June, and all of the blossoming and action of Spring is starting to wind down. The celebration and admiration of the hard work you have put in happens now. The theme of Summer is upon us and that theme is relaxation, rejuvenation, and appreciation for all of your hard work. Period of relaxation and rejuvenation can be so difficult for some of us, especially in Western culture. We have learned that we should always be on the grind and making things happen. I 100% agree that we must do our part and take action that is ours to take to manifest the life we desire (a.k.a. taking responsibility and accountability for our lives). Also, I am aware that being on the constant grind can be a barrier to change. How?

When we are constantly in action mode, we do not slow down enough to hear our authentic voice and guidance. We need to be able to hear our authentic voice and guidance from our higher power and compassionate helping spirits to look for signs and stay on our path. When we do this, our path tends to be less full of obstacles to overcome because we are in alignment with the flow of life. Being out of flow results in detours (which take longer) and difficulties (like trying to swim upstream when there is clearly a bridge you didn’t take time to notice).

Slowing down gives you the opportunity to rejuvenate and appreciate how far you have come. You have heard the saying “life is in the journey, not the destination.” By always striving to move forward at a rapid pace, we miss the journey of life. We miss how far we have come, celebrating our selves, and the depth of the experiences we have with the people we love. So take time this June to slow down, relax, rejuvenate, and appreciate how far you have come. Reflect on this beautiful journey that is life. Take time with the people you love and laugh, I mean, ugly laugh, lol. The grind will be right there for you to pick back up in July. Celebrate this beautiful life of yours!

Here are a few ideas to help you relax, rejuvenate, and celebrate your life journey:

You are a human being, not a human doing. Embrace that for a few days!

­ When we are on the grind, day in and day out, we can forget to reach out or spend time with the ones we love. Take this time to celebrate with them, thank them for their support and love, and just have fun! 🙂 Hugs are a plus!

Take a Trip with Friends

­ There is nothing like exploring a new place with people who make you laugh! Take a trip with friends who allow you the space to be yourself and do not “need” anything from you. This is the best type of trip because you can fully relax, rejuvenate, and be you.

Time with the Fur Kids

­ If you are lucky enough to have a fur kid in your life, then you know all of the love and joy they bring without asking anything in return. They are the incarnation of unconditional love (with personality of course lol). Take some time to show them how special they are and enjoy your time with them. I mean really, mindfully, enjoy your time. You both deserve it!

Have Fun!!!

­ Yes! Do things that are on your bucket list. Do things you used to enjoy before life go SOOOO serious. Dance like no one is watching.
