IMPORTANT NOTICE ON ENDANGERMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY– The Bursera Graveolens tree that Palo Santo wood comes from is in risk of endangerment due to wrongful harvesting techniques. Please know where your Palo Santo comes from so that you are not unknowingly contributing to the endangerment of this tree. All of the Palo Santo used in Shaman’s Dawn products comes from an organic farm in Ecuador who still practices the traditional ways of harvesting. Only wood from naturally fallen branches and from trees that have died naturally is used. No live wood is harvested. The traditional belief is that if the wood is harvested from a living tree that it loses its properties. The Ecuadorian farm that we work with is also a leading member in the reforestation efforts and have planted 5000 new trees in 2016 and another 4000 trees in 2019.
